Kirakira is aiko's 18th single, and was used as the dorama Ganbatte Ikimasshoi's theme song. The first press came with an extra 8-page booklet and a colour tray, as well as a different CD art. This single reached #2 on Oricon charts and charted for 21 weeks. Because this single sold 206,658 units, it became the #44 single of 2005. It has sold a total of 210,387 copies.
