Information
Izumi debuted in 1992 with the single Kimi Nara Daijobu da yo produced by Sudo Akira, and later an album of the same name was released. She gained popularity in 1993 with the single Shikkaku, and the singles that followed contributed to this. The single Eien no Puzzle was used as the theme song for the anime Kono Ai ni Ikite; this single was her greatest hit. She was even dubbed the "female Ozaki Yutaka".
After releasing her essay collection in 1994, she turned to acting and appeared in a handful of dramas and stage productions. Izumi has since provided lyrics and compositions for many artists, including Suzuki Sarina.
