"my duty" is Takenaka Eri's first indie single and 7th overall. It was her first release as "Takenaka Eri" after changing it from the stage name "mawari". The single was a limited edition only sold at Tower Records stores. The B-side, "I need to be in love" is a cover of The Carpenters's song of the same name.
