Yura Yura Teikoku (ゆらゆら帝国) is a three piece Japanese Psychedelic rock band from Tokyo.

Information
Yura Yura Teikoku formed in 1989 as a four piece band led by guitarist/vocalist Shintaro Sakamoto. After several membership changes, bassist Chiyo Kamekawa joined the band. A couple of years later in 1992, they lost their second guitaris and drummer. After a succession of drummers, Ichiro Shibata joined the band in 1997 and the band lineup has remained constant since then. After playing around Japan for 16 years and becoming a highly respected and influential band, Yura Yura Teikoku finally played their first overseas shows, performing to two packed houses in New York City in October 2006. An Australian tour followed in May 2007.
