Shinohara Chie self-portrait

Shinohara Chie is a Japanese shojo manga-ka. She debuted in 1981 with "Akai Densetsu" in the "Coronet" magazine. Her stories often have sobrenatural or fantasy themes. Shinohara won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shojo in 1987 with Yami no Purple Eye and in 2001 with Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori, also known as "Anatolia Story" and her most popular series.
