COSMETICS was formed in 1998 by ROCKETMAN with Konona, Hideyo and Shizuna under the stage name cosmetics and made their independent debut with the digital single "LOVE IS ALL". In 2009, after a short hiatus, Konona, Hideyo and Shizuna left the group and they were replaced by Ayana, Narumi and Hinako. They took the a stage name, COSMETICS, and signed to Victor Entertainment. In the same year, "LOVE IS ALL" was re-released for iTunes Stores and reached #2 on its charts. Following the success of "LOVE IS ALL", they released their second digital single "tomorrow". On December 12, 2009, COSMETICS made their major debut with the mini-album LOVE IS ALL.
