Serpent is the second album released by meg (but third in all). It is also her first album and release to be released through the indies label Grace Tone. Track #5, "My Favorite Things", is the only song from the 2007 release of the single "Christmas Rose" to be featured. Track #8, "Like a Christmas Rose", would later be placed as the B-side song for the 2008 release of "Christmas Rose". A majority of these songs were performed live and released as the DVD "meg Live at Motion Blue yokohama".
