A'ST1 debuted in 2008, with their name meaning Astar Revolution. Their goal was to become the best group in Asia, with their first challenge was to be better than [[Super Junior]]. This had lots of ELF's (Super Junior's fan name) to criticize and dislike A'ST1 but later on A'ST1 said that they wanted to be just like Super Junior and be as successful as the 13 member boyband. A'ST1 debuted with their single [[1.2.3.4 Back]] on MNet Countdown in April. They did went on hiatus for a year and cameback in 2009 with a new song [[Dynamite]].
