Information
Guitar Vader first formed in 1998 with Ujuan, Miki and Yuki. After the release of their debut album Die Happy they were picked up by a label called Berry Records. However after the second album Wild at Honey, their drummer Yuki decided to leave. Shortly afterwards Guitar Vader was asked to provide some music for the popular Dreamcast game "Jet Set Radio". They became pretty popular and it sparked a bit of an underground popularity, especially in the United States and England. After the sucess of doing some music for Jet Set Radio they were asked to contribute a song (Baby-T) to the sequel, which was not as popular state side.
Shortly after the sucess of Jet Set Radio, Guitar Vader recieved a new drummer Suzuki Yoshifumi. After 3 or 4 years with their record label, Guitar Vader decided to leave and form their own record label "Plugs House". They recently added a keyboardist to their band, Steve Laity, who has been a long time fan of their music. Since then, they have been relasing their albums independently and still continue to be a popular indies band, with much underground sucess.
