Karen (歌恋) is an enka singer signed to Sun Music Group, releasing through the Nippon Crown record label. She was formerly a member of Nice Girl Project, but graduated in the fall of 2010. On December 30th, 2015, an official announcement was made on her blog stating that she would take a break from her activities as a singer. Her planned single, set for release in January, was subsequently cancelled.

Karen first audition for the Happy 8ki Audition in 2006 for the group Morning Musume but didn't pass. But that didn't stop her from being a singer as she joined GTT Club and first performed at Shibuya O-EAST a year later.
