In August that year, five girls; Tsugaru, Asahi, Akane, Hokuto and Benika joined the group as its 1st generation members. Later that year, they managed to release a full version of "LOVE & SOLDIER", this time with the official members. Shortly after the release of their debut single, Megumi joined the group.
The group slumped but resumed their acitvities in May 2001 when it was once again announced that an audition for new members was going to be opened and shortly after the announcement Iwai, Senshu, Kogyoku and Natsumidori joined as 2nd generation members and in December 2001, Orin also joined Ringo Musume. The brand-new Ringo Musume kicked off 2002 with the release of Bus Terminal and continued to release singles throughout the year. In March 2003, all members of Ringo Musume graduated from the group and two member auditions, one in April and one in July followed. On September 14, five new girls were introduced to the group; 3rd generation member Jonagold and 4th generation members Tsugaru, Mikilife, Kogyoku and Kinsei. The only managed to release one single before Mikilife left the group in the beginning of 2004. Once again, this year they opened up auditions for new members and in July, 5th generation member Letgold joined Ringo Musume. Tsugaru and Kogyoku decided to leave the group in October. In the beginning of 2005 another member audition was announced but was cancelled shortly after. They managed to release their first album Aomori Ringo before it was announced that Kinsei had left the group. In the summer of 2005 they once again announced an audition which was sadly cancelled too. After that the group, now a duo, released their 8th single Kare no Keitora ni Notte. This was their first nationwide single and they managed to rank on the Oricon charts. They continued to promote in Aomori during 2006 and 2007, participating in local events and sometimes as the faces of various Aomori-based products. Many times auditions were announced, but all of them were cancelled. In 2008 they participated in a “China-Japan friendship event” in China where they performed their latest songs. In 2009 they went on a semi-hiatus and remained like that for the whole year. In 2010 however they resumed their activities and on April 1, 6th generation members Toki, Kinsei and Mutsu joined the group. Mutsu left the group later that year because of family matters. The quartet began to perform their new songs and their 11th single Train was released in 2010. In 2011, Toki went on an indefinite hiatus due to trouble in school and a temporary member, Mikami, from Ringo Musume’s trainee program Alps Otome joined the group. Mikami later graduated to focus on her studies. After Mikami’s graduation Toki came back and started promoting with Ringo Musume again. On December 27, 2012 it was announced that Jonagold would be graduating from the group on January 28, 2013. Just shortly after, Letgold and Kinsei also announced their graduation from the group. On March 31, the day they graduated it was announced that the trainee Orin would join Ringo Musume as its 7th generation member.

RINGOMUSUME (2017)

Ringo Musume (りんご娘), often stylized as RINGOMUSUME, is a Japanese pop idol-group based in Hirosaki in the Aomori prefecture with an agricultural concept. As they promote mostly in the countryside, all members are under a stage-name based on different kinds of apples that all grow in the Aomori prefecture. This is to ensure the members' privacy. History

In July 2000, two girls, Jona and Fujiko, started promoting temporarily as RINGOMUSUME after they released a demo CD of the song "LOVE & SOLDIER" to gain interest in an audition that was opened in hopes of recruiting new members.

The group slumped, but resumed their activities in May 2001 when it was once again announced that an audition for new members was going to be opened. Shortly after the announcement, Iwai, Senshu, Kogyoku and Natsumidori joined as 2nd generation members, and in December 2001, Orin also joined the group. The brand-new RINGOMUSUME kicked off 2002 with the release of "Bus Terminal" and continued to release singles throughout the year.

In March 2003, all members of RINGOMUSUME graduated from the group and then held two member auditions, one in April and one in July.
