Information

Izumo Sakino promoting "Touryuu Onna" (2016)

RöE began composing music after graduating from junior high school. At the time, because she had no interest in anything, she did not move on to high school. Instead, at the age of 16, she wanted to create something herself, either by becoming a cartoonist or a musician. In the end, she bought a guitar because she thought it would be quicker. She practiced guitar every day at home and in the studio. She looked up to artists such as Kiyoshi Ryujin and Shiina Ringo. She also likes the Yoshida Brothers and often uses the sound of the shamisen in her composition.

After about half a year, she had completed about 20 convincing songs. In the spring of 2015, Stardust Promotion, a major entertainment company, held the "Dai 1kai SDR Audition". RöE sent in her demo tape she made by herself on her computer. Out of 1,900 applicants, she won unanimously, then using the stage name Iroha. Judges praised her talents and her unique lyrics and world view. Before her debut under STARDUST RECORDS, she produced about 50 songs.

On April 6, 2016, she released her debut limited single "Touryuu Onna" at Village Vanguard Shimokitazawa under her real name Izumo Sakino. The song was used as the theme for the drama Joyu Ochi. Of her following songs, "Sekai no Shikake" was used as the theme for the drama Isansouzoku Bengoshi Kakizaki Shinichi and "Hana Ichi Monme" was used as the theme for the event FLOWERS BY NAKED Miwaku no Rakuen.

During the summer of 2017, she announced her affiliation with the Warner Music Japan sub-label unBORDE at the live event "unBORDE Summer Xmas Party 2017". She performed at the "unBORDE LUCKY 7 TO TOUR" in 2018.

Under the new stage name RöE, she released her debut digital EP Uka* on October 19, 2018.
