Shouso Strip is Shiina's second album. This album reached #1 in the charts and charted for 29 weeks. It recieved both the award for Rock Album of the Year and best album of the year. The limited edition included a pink slip-case as well as an exclusive photo book. The album sold 2,332,290 units in Japan. Because of this, it became the #3 album of 2000.
This album is the first of Shiina's albums to feature a symmetrical tracklisting.
Honnou, Gips, and Tsumi to Batsu were released as singles.
