TV Asahi (テレビ朝日) is a television network operating in Japan. Its nickname is "Tere-Asa" (テレ朝). It started operations as "Nihon Educational Television" (日本教育テレビ) in 1957, and first aired a color telecast in 1967.
In 1977, the network was renamed "Zenkoku Asahi Housou" (ANB). The company has a network of exchanging news with local stations called "ANN" (All-nippon News Network). In 2003, the main office moved to Roppongi Hills, and the station was renamed "TV Asahi Corporation" (株式会社テレビ朝日, EX).
