I think this needed a definition because the singer-songwriter part isn't that obvious and someone asked what a self-cover was on a forum the other day. I think it's only a Japanese term. (Google "self-cover" and you get nothing, and on Wikipedia there's only a page for the [[Wikipedia:ja:セルフカバー|Japanese version]].) I can only think of a few examples in American music, and they don't seem to call them self-cover though. - The page is great. That's strange though, because I feel like I've heard it in reference to American pop songs. I can only think of a few examples in American music, and they don't seem to call them self-cover though.
