Tokyo is the capital of Japan, as well as its largest city.

Japan-Guide provides good information on the city, touching on basic information as well as providing links to attractions. See also Tokyo travel guide at Wikitravel.

As of October 1, 2003 the population of Tokyo was estimated to be 12 369 000, or about 10% of Japan's total population, the largest population of any of the 47 prefectures.

Tokyo is the world's most populous urban agglomeration, with an estimated population of 31 224 700 [1]
