tricot (トリコ) is an all-girl math rock band from Kyoto.

Information

tricot formed in September of 2010 as a trio consisting of Ikkyu, Motifour, and Hirohiro. Komaki Kazutaka joined as drummer in May of 2011, and the then-coed band formed their own label, Bakuretsu Records.

Between 2012 and 2013 the band performed at several major rock festivals in Japan including Fuji Rock Festival, Rising Sun Rock Festival, and Sweet Love Shower. In 2014 the band released their debut album "THE", and toured across Asia to support it.

In March of 2014, drummer Komaki left the band citing creative differences. The band has continued as an all-female trio since then.
