PINOCCHIO is the first studio album released by f(x). The song "Pinocchio (Danger)" was used as lead track. The album contains a Korean version of their Chinese collaboration single "Lollipop", featuring fellow SM Entertainment group SHINee instead of the Chinese group M.I.C. The album comes with a 100-page photobook.
Two months later, the album was re-released as a repackaged album titled Hot Summer. The new album included only a new song, the title track "HOT SUMMER", which is a cover of the German group Monrose' song of the same name. It also included the group first two singles "LA chA TA" and "Chu~♡", and the song "Johahaedo Doenayo (...Is It OK?)" originally included on the digital single "Paradise Ranch OST Part.1".
