Crescent is the fourth album released by Gackt. It was first released on December 3rd, 2003 as the standard edition. It comes in folder form with the lyrics booklets for both this album and MOON, which lacked one. In 2006 along with MARS, Rebirth, MOON, and DIABOLOS, as a part of the Gackt PREMIUM COLLECTION series, the album was re-released again. This edition features the remastered SACD (Super Audio CD) album, housed in a 31cm×31cm deka jacket, a B2-sized poster, and a 30cm×30cm sized booklet.
The first release of the album reached #5 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for 11 weeks, selling 143,345 copies. While the deka jacket release reached #61 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for two weeks.
