In 2007, ELISA was chosen from a contest of 3000 participants at Elite Model Look to become a professional model. However she almost immediately turned her attention to singing, signing with Geneon Universal later the same year. In December 2007 her debut single, "euphoric field" was used as the opening theme for the anime ef - a tale of memories.. The single reached #22 on the Oricon weekly charts and sold 24,572 copies.

Between 2008 and 2011 ELISA released a series of successful singles and albums and established herself as a high profile and well regarded anison singer.
