G-Dragon initially debuted as a child hip-hop artist, likely in hopes of emulating the popularity and success of Lil Romeo and Lil Bow Wow in the states. However, G-Dragon never released an album and was limited to featuring on other YG artists' albums. Before BIGBANG were formed G.Dragon and fellow band mate Tae Yang were known as "G.Dragon & YB Tae Kwon", they have performed as a duo at concerts such as 'SE7EN's First SE7EN' as rappers and backing dancers.
