The duo, hailing from Kagoshima Prefecture, originally only sung cover songs until they later joined by Hasokawa Takayuki (Turkey) in 1999, and in 2000 the trio moved to Tokyo to start more serious musical activities.

Originally gaining something of a cult following, it wasn't until 2003 when they finally hit the top 10 of the Oricon weekly album charts.
