HOT is Taeyang first mini album and his first solo release. The songs "Gido (Feat. Teddy)" and "Naman Barabwa" were choosen for the album promotion. Althought those songs weren't released neither physically or in a digital format, both had music videos. The song "Make Love (Feat. Kush)" is a cover of BIGBANG's song of the same name included on their first full Japanese album Number 1. The mini album sold over 50.000 copies.
