Kigurumi (キグルミ) is a Japanese primary school and junior high school duo unit, made up of Rena and Haruka.

Members

Information

Kigurumi became famous in 2006, after the two sung the CM song for a vastly effective Kewpie "Tarako" (cod egg) flavoured pasta sauce campaign. The song was so popular that the duo debuted under Victor Entertainment Inc. and released it as a single. The single was a major success, reaching #2 on the Oricon charts.

In February 2007 the duo returned with the song Minna de! Sansuu 99 Tai, released as a download only single, and in May released their second single Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten / Dancing Sister. Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten was used as the 9th ending theme song of the anime Keroro Gunsou, while Dancing Sister (a cover of The Nolans' hit song "I'm in the Mood for Dancing") was used as the theme song to the show "Mezamashi Doyoubi".
