Nishikido Ryo (born on the 3rd of November, 1984 in Osaka) is a Japanese Singer/Actor and a member of the group Kanjani8 from the agency, Johnny & Associates.

Nishikido auditioned for his agency on September, 1997 and passed with fellow Kanjani8 members Yasuda Shota, Okura Tadayoshi and Maruyama Ryuhei. In February 2000, he released a single "Secret Agent Man" under the group Secret Agent. In 2003 He was chosen as a member of News and in the following year Kanjani8 made their CD debut. As a result of being in Johnny's he started appearing in dramas soon after joining the company, On January 2006 Nishikido held his first solo live "Ryo Nishikido Live" from January 5th to 9th in Yokohama arena and Osaka-jo hall.

On October 7, 2011 it was announced that Nishikido would be leaving the group NEWS, but would continue within Kanjani8. In 2018 he plays Saigo Yoshinosuke in the NHK drama Saigo Don. In 2019, Nishikido left Kanjani8 to pursue his solo career. The beginning was made with a digital single, calling Nomad, followed by his first Solo Album with the same title. At that time he and Akanishi Jin announced a unit calling N/A. They will start the activities with a concert in Honolulu on May 24, 2020.

• A big fan of Saito Kazuyoshi.
• His parents are Kyushuan immigrants. His father is from Amakusa (Kumamoto Prefecture), and his mother is from Amami (Kagoshima Prefecture).
• Yokoyama Yu gave him the nickname "Dokkun" because of his sharp tounge.
• Is a good cook.
• Has, actually, cried over food. It was apparently very delicious.
• Calls his mother "Kaachan" (mommy).
• On his private time he often hangs out with Matsumoto Jun, Yamashita Tomohisa, Yasuda Shota, Ohkura Tadayoshi, Akanishi Jin, and Uchi Hiroki.
• Has got the nickname "Nikki" from a cameraman who works at the magazine Myojo.
• Loves to play the guitar, usually he plays it when he stays at home.
• Until he was around 16 years old he was only 150 cm tall and used to jump a lot in order to make other people believe he was taller.
• He donated some of his earnings from 1 Litre of Tears to the research for the cure of Spinocerebellar Degeneration, Aya Kito's disease in 1 Liter of Tears.
• Has a tendency to lie a lot. Though, differently from Subaru he admits that he lied just a little while afterward.
• Has been the victim of bad press among international fans, who make him out to be vindictive, spiteful and (in extreme cases) actually insane.
• Doesn't actually hate Ueda Tatsuya anymore, contrary to popular belief.
• Loves to tell his friends to cut their hair and bug them about it until they do. Recent 'victims' include Kato Shigeaki and Yamashita Tomohisa.
• Is, according to Yokoyama, the one in Kanjani8 who makes most of the decisions when it comes to the group, but is by no means the leader.
• He doesn't like talkative girls.
• Has repeatedly made it known that he believes that Japanese people should have black hair; while his has been both brown and blonde, it has never stayed that way for long.
• Has said that if he woke up in a woman's body, his first action would be to touch his breasts.

In September it was announced, that Nishikido left Johnnys and Kanjani8.
