"Promise / Star" is the eighteenth single released by Koda Kumi. There were two versions of this single: a CD+DVD edition and CD only edition. Both editions had two CD arts (one for Promise and one for Star). The DVD version of "Promise / Star" only had the limited artwork for Star on it, and had a different back cover alltogether (the back cover was a different Star shot). The single reached #4 on Oricon charts and charted for 10 weeks. This single sold 34,589 units in it's first week and the most recent figures show that it sold a total of 61,689 units.
