Information

"Stop the music" is Amuro Namie's seventh and last single under the Toshiba-EMI label. The song is a cover of Eurobeat artist Sophie's song "Stop the Music". Amuro Namie would move onto avex trax for a solo career. Meanwhile, the four leftover members of SUPER MONKEYS went on to form the group MAX, also under the avex trax label. This single reached #4 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 13 weeks. It sold 528,160 copies, becoming the #65 single of 1995.

There was also a vinyl released which features a remix of the original version by Sophie.
