Takahara Kei (高原兄) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, composer, talento, and former lead vocalist for the band ALADDIN.

Information

Takahara Kei got involved in music when he was at Nagoya University of Commerce & Business, forming the folk song and rock band ALADDIN and becoming the vocalist. The group later won the Yamaha Popular Music Contest in 1981 and then released their first single soon after. But, the band broke up two years later in 1983, allowing Takahara to start his own solo career. The group would later formed once again for a one-time live in 2002.

He made solo career debut in 1991 with the single "Kaze yo, Suzuka e" . But, his rise to fame was through him composing various songs for artists, including Quiz Hexagon family. He also appeared on various television variety shows as a guest and performer, including singing the theme song to the Quiz Hexagon series.
