In March 2006, Asakawa Hiro's band at the time disbanded. Coincidentally, high school classmates Kanata Takehiro and Tanaka Hiroki were also in a band that broke up, so the three formed a new band together. Kanata and Tanaka's classmate Yamamoto Shintaro also joined, and the four become the band "lego big morl" in Osaka.

That August, lego big morl released their first demo, appropriately titled "1st demo". It was sold exclusively at their live shows. The band continued performing lives into 2007, eventually extending outside of Osaka. In March 2007, they held their first live tour with shows in Tokyo, Yokohama, Ibaraki, and Gunma. They followed with two more demos: a free demo called "FREE" in August 2007 and "2nd demo" in February 2008. The latter was limited to 1,000 copies and soon sold out at the band's lives.

In April 2008, the band released "Warp", a three-month limited free rental exclusive to TSUTAYA. The single constantly had a "loaned out" status. The following month came another limited single, "moonwalk for a week". This time, it was limited to TOWER RECORDS. The single debuted at #4 on the Oricon indie chart. On June 6, lego big morl released their debut mini-album, Tuesday and Thursday, available nationwide. The second track, "dim", was featured on iTunes as the weekly free download from May 14th to the 20th.[1] The band promoted the mini-album by participating in many live summer festivals and events.

lego big morl released their debut single on December 10, 2008, a three-month limited TOWER RECORDS/TSUTAYA exclusive called "Ray". It was used as an insert song in the drama and movie Akai Ito. Accompanying the single a month and a half later was the band's debut album, Quartette Parade, in January 2009. The following March, they embarked on their first nationwide tour, lego big morl tour 2009 "Quartette Parade".

After the tour concluded in May, lego big morl released their second single on July 22nd, "Afureru", which was also their first single released nationwide. In November, they were the opening act for three dates of labelmate Remioromen's tour ZEPP TOUR 2009 "Starting Over" supported by Alinamin.[2]
