naja promoting Suna no Shiro (2003)

naja (ネイジャ) was a short-lived Japanese pop-rock band that was singed to Columbia Music Entertainment. The group debuted in February 2003 with the single "Hi no Tori" and disbanded after the release of their album, Suna no Shiro in September 2003.

naja first formed in 2002. Igarashi Kohta recently had disband from his longtime band JUDY AND MARY and he was introduced to YURI, an aspiring singer. Yokoyama Tatsurou, the former guitarist for RAZZ MA TAZZ was added to the group as the acoustic guitarist. The group also recieved production by Cano Caoli. They released their debut single in February 2003, "Hi no Tori". The song was used as the opening theme to CDTV. The band's second single, "Mr.deja vu" was used as the third ending song to the anime GetBackers.

In September 2003, the band released on more single, which was followed by their album, Suna no Shiro. Soon afterwards the band disbanded.
