"Ai no WAVE" is a collaboration single released by Carl Smoky Ishii and Matsutoya Yumi. The single was released at the same time by each artist's label, with a different Karaoke track featuring Matsutoya Yumi's vocals on the EMI Music Japan release, and Carl Smoky Ishii's on the Sony Music Japan release. It reached #1 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for thirteen weeks. It sold 237,240 copies in 1992, making it the #85th best selling single of that year.
