Gal Sone was a big eater from her junior high days and began competing while in high school. In 2005 she appeared in an eating contest program and won the title of the 2006 "Queen" for the game. She won again in 2007; this time the race was close. Gal sone has also won an eating contest in Thailand. She was signed with Watanabe Pro after her first win and has become a celebrity.
Gal Sone heavily follows the gal trend, and during eating contests has touched up her make-up.
It was announced in April 2007 that she would be leading a new musical unit with Abe Asami and gravure idol Tokito Ami named Gyaruru. Then five years later, she married to a half-Japanese television producer on July 24, 2011.[1]
Trivia
- Is nicknamed "Mayora" and "Gal Mayora" because she always has mayonnaise with her. (In Japanese, "mayora" in Japanese is short for "Mayonnaise Lover".
- Gal Sone is friends with Nakagawa Shouko and each has appeared in the other's blog.
