"THANATOS -IF I CAN'T BE YOURS-" and "Komm, süsser Tod" were used as the theme song and insert song for the movie Shinseiki Evangerion Gekijouban Air/Magokoro wo, Kimi ni. The single reached #2 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for 13 weeks, selling 522,770 copies, making the #55 single of the year.
In 2006, the song "THANATOS -IF I CAN'T BE YOURS-" was coupled with Takahashi Yoko's "Tamashii no Refrain" and re-released as "Tamashii no Refrain / THANATOS -IF I CAN'T BE YOURS-" to celebrate Shinseiki Evangerion's 10th anniversary.
