THE 7 DEADLY SINS is the sixth studio album released by sads, and their first album in over seven years. This was released in three different versions: a limited CD+DVD edition, a regular 2CD edition, and a limited CD+DVD edition exclusive to mu-mo shops. The regular edition comes with an added second greatest hits disc of various songs from albums and singles. The two limited editions' DVDs also differ: the normal limited edition comes with a live digest and the PVs for "GOTHIC CIRCUS" and "EVIL", while the mu-mo limited edition comes with the same content as the other one but with added interviews of the music videos and one for the album itself. The mu-mo edition also comes with a collaborative necklace between sads and Justin Davis. The album reached #12 on the Oricon weekly charts, where it charted for six weeks.
