Tainaka Sachi promoting 123 (2013)

Tainaka Sachi

Tainaka Sachi is a Japanese pop singer who debuted under SISTUS RECORDS in 2006. She is famous for singing songs which were used as anime theme songs. Her voice can reach a total of three octaves.

When Tainaka was small, she had great potential for singing. When she was still in primary school, she took part in a nationwide children's singing contest with her class, and in 1997 won first prize. She entered this contest again in 1999, however in that year she was part of a group with her two sisters. At the age of 15, Tainaka decided she would become a singer after being inspired by DREAMS COME TRUE and MISIA's songs. At this time she started writing and composing songs, as well as performing live.

Tainaka would continue to enter competitions, such as in 2002 she took part in the televised ASAYAN idol show, and reached 6th place. In early 2004, Tainaka released six songs in a Columbia Records-released concept album called Aru Ai no Uta under the name Sachi. In 2005, Tainaka became part of a four-member unit called Les Bijou, who performed at Universal Studios Japan.

Tainaka made her debut in February 2006 with the single "disillusion", which was used as the opening theme song to the anime Fate/stay night. This single debuted high, reaching #13 on Oricon charts. Her second single "Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni", reached #9 on the Oricon charts. She released her first album in March 2007 titled Dear....

According to Tainaka's official site, she had written and composed over 60 songs in total at the time of her debut.

Since Tainaka Sachi's debut, she has released 13 singles, 1 best album, 1 cover album and 6 albums. Her sixth album 123 was released July 10th, 2013.
