"U" is the Japanese debut single released by Shirota Yu under the name U. A Spanish version of the song "Sisyphus", and also the song "Cuando se ama", were previously released on his first digital single on iTunes' European and Oceanic stores. The song "Cuando se ama" is a cover of Laura Pausini's Spanish song of the same name.
"Sisyphus" was used as the theme song for the TV series FlashForward, the title track "U" was used as the theme song for the drama Shitsuren Hoken~Kokuraseya and "Heart of glass" was used as the Nescafe "Excella" commercial song.
