In 2000, Ito made her acting debut in the [[dorama]] [[Love Chat]]. After this she became famous for being seen in such commercials as "Choya Ume Liquor".

She was a supporter of several televised sports events: World Cup 2003, Athens Olympic Games 2004, and World Grand Prix in 2005. Because of this, Ito is called "Zen Nihon Shouri no Megami", or "All of Japan Victory Goddess".

In 2005, Ito co-starred as Hermes in the wildly popular dorama [[Densha Otoko]]. After this she was in another popular dorama, [[Kiken na Aneki]], and Fuji TV ratings were sky high. With the help of these doramas, Ito won the "Japan Golden Raspberry Award" for her collection.

Ito Misaki has also been in a handful of horror movies like [[Ju-on]]. [http://www.ken-on.co.jp/ Ken-On] actors and actresses are frequently seen in these movies; [[Ichikawa Yui]] and [[Uehara Misa]] were also in the film.

She also has her driver's license (something that is fairly uncommon with celebrities in Japan).
