She is the vocalist of pop band Soutaiseiriron and TUTU HELVETICA, a special unit formed by her and guitarist Manabe Shuichi of Soutaiseiriron. Yakushimaru is also known for her collaborations with other artists, notably Chikada Haruo, Takahashi Yukihiro and Kuricorder Quartet.
