Mizutani Mari (水谷麻里) is a former Japanese pop idol singer. Mizutani got her start while in middle school in 1985 when she entered the '86 Miss Hair Cologne Image Girl Contest, sponsored by Shiseido. Even though she was defeated by Sakai Noriko for the grand prix award, Mizutani was awarded the BOMB award. She debuted soon after as a singer with the single 21 Seiki Made Aishite a year later. She would later go on to win the Rookie of the Year award at the Japan Record Awards of 1986.

In 1987, Mizutani met her future husband, manga artist Eguchi Hisashi, and would later marry him three years later. She announced during that time that she would retire from show business.
