Shimazu Rie (シミズリエ) is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter.

Shimazu first learned to play the piano at aa young age and soon announced that wanted to become a singer. At the age of four, she started to write songs. When she got older, she started to go out and perform her written songs at live houses in Yokohama.
In 2004, Shimazu started her career under the indies label Pyun2 Recordings and release her first mini-album, Uta no Jitsu, a year later. The mini-album did so well that it sold out in 2006.
