Kuga Youko started her career in show business when she started as a actress in 1988. In 1990, she had a brief singing, only releasing two singles, but keep on acting in various doramas and in variety shows. Years later, in 2005, she got married to a businessman and took a short retirement to become a housewife. But, she came back to show business in 2008 under the name YOKO.

Kuga is the daughter on Oscar Promotion's president, Koga Seiichi.
