"Hanamizuki" is the fifth single released by Hitoto Yo. The main track was used as the TV show "Kin'you Suspence Gekijou"'s theme song as well as the JRA CM song. The B-side "Nennensaisai" was used as the ending theme to the anime "Aishiteruze Baby". The opening theme to this anime was "sunny side up", which originally appeared on Yo's Tsukitenshin album. The single reached #4 on Oricon charts and charted for an astounding 109 weeks. This was Yo's second smash single, reaching #30 on the 2004 end-of-year charts by selling 253,087 units, and then again reaching #80 on the 2005-end-of-year charts by selling 124,010 units. Including 2006 sales, this single has sold 394,628 units. This is Hitoto's best selling single.
