Lady is a Korean girl group. All the members have had a sex reassignment surgery. They are Korea's first transgendered pop group.

Information

Lady is the first Korean music group to be made up of members who have had sex reassignment surgery. Their formation was inspired by the success of actress and singer Harisu, Korea' first transgender super star.

Some of members have had some fame before the group's formation. Sinae used to appear in commercials with an all female dance group, and she was even featured in a music video by Jo PD. Sahara on the other hand won a Thailand beauty pageant back in 2003 and also used to be a jeans model.

"We love chocolate, shopping and gossip. Mentally we were always women, the only difference being that we changed something physical, simply we are women with an extra scar," said Lady, according to a Korean reporter.

The group has current released on E.P., Attention. The eight track e.p. showed off a variety of musical styles like Attention's heavy Hip-Hop sound and the retro euro-beat sound of Ladies Night. They have also started working on the release of a nude photobook entitled Women, Reflect!.
