Information

Morikawa Yukari debuted in 1987 with the single Ame no Carmen. But it wasn't until her second single, a Japanese cover of the same song by Cover Girls, that made her famous. She would later have her image character be a variety idol by appearing on a bunch of variety idols. A year later, she would open her fanclub DOWN TOWN KIDS and perform at her first solo live at the NISSIN POWER STATION.

Her 12th single, Yume Genki?, won Best Lyrics at a television dorama award. Her next single after that was produced by Sing Like Talking's synthesizer player and backing vocalist, Fujita Chiaki. Then two years later, she would join the group SAVE THE EARTH with Carmen Maki.

In 2004, she formed the rock band THE UNIT.
