Lolita 23q (少女-ロリヰタ-23区; Lolita Nijuusan Ku) is a Japanese rock band in the oshare-kei scene. The band is frequently misunderstood as Shoujo Lolita 23q because some people don't know the dashes around the word lolita gives a forced reading for the word shoujo. The ku/q part of the band's name comes from the 23 Special Wards of Tokyo. Lolita 23q started in September of 2004 as a session band and played their first live at Takadanobaba AREA on November 18th, 2004. One of their original guitarists was Kosuke Megumi., but he left on August 25th, 2005 during Lolita 23q's first one-man live. Ryuto then joined the band a little more than a week later on September 7th, and Lolita 23q has kept the same line-up ever since.
