Shimazu Rie (シミズリエ or 清水理絵) is a J-Pop singer-songwriter.

Information

Shimazu first learned to play the piano and wanted to become a singer at a early age. At age 4, she started to write her own songs. She would later go out to performed her written songs at livehouses in Yokohama when she got older. Then in 2004, started her career under the indies label Pyun2 Recordings and release her first minialbum, Uta no Jitsu, a year later. The minialbum did so well that it sold out in 2006.
