"HEARTBREAK DIARY" is dps's eighth single. This the first single to be released under the group's new name, "dps". It is also the only single to be released in the MIL-CD format.
The title track was used as a theme theme for the Sega "Dreamcast MIL CD" commercials. The song is also a cover of the same-titled group by the Japanese Pop group HIM. The single reached #30 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for two weeks.
