- Information
"Cherry Cherry" is the 30th single released by Chara. It was produced by Kameda Seiji, and was made to resemble such '60s songs as Petula Clark's "Downtown" and The Ronettes' "Be My Baby". Inspiration was also taken from the 1973 film American Graffiti. The song is described as having a 'girly' feel to it. The B-side "Boku no Tomodachi" is a piano ballad and was used as the CM song to the Japan release of the movie L'Avion (in Japan known as "Charly to Papa no Hikouki"). Track three is a cover of the Ohsawa Yoshiyuki song of the same name (originally released in 1984). The single reached #44 on the Oricon charts, and charted for four weeks.

Music Video
The PV for "Cherry Cherry" was directed by Hirano Ayako. The music video is in complete grey scale. It first features Chara against some branches, before switching scenes to show her roller scating against a white background. Occasionally Chara jumps past the screen wearing only a straw hat (however she is completely blurred out). The music video also features three animals: a white horse she poses with, a white bird that she lets fly away and a snail which she lets slide all over her naked body.
