Fujitani Miwako

Fujitani Miwako (藤谷美和子) is a Japanese pop singer and actress. She got her start in acting when she was in a Calbee Food commercial at the age of 12. She would later her dorama debut in the 1978 television dorama Yuuhi ga Oka no Souridaijin. Fujitani would also go on to have a brief singing career with the release of her first single, Ai ga Umareta Hi, in 1994. A duet with actor Ouchi Yoshiaki, Ai ga Umareta Hi was a huge hit with over a million copies sold and gave the pair their first appearance on the end of the program Kohaku Uta Gassen.

In 2001, she married actor Okumura Shunichi.
