JANEL is a Japanese pop girl group formed by avex trax's sub-label rhythm zone. They are described as a "super vocal" and "dance unit" and have been called the "Japanese Pussycat Dolls". Their group name is an acronym for "JAPAN NEEDS LADIES", and they are said to compromise of five female personalities: "Power"; Grow. "Sexy"; Azuni. "Beauty"; MARIE. "Cool"; naoca and "Cute" for YUKO.
